Nanzoin is a Shingon Buddhist Temple located in the town of Sasaguri in eastern Fukuoka. The temple's hightlight is the statue of the Reclining Buddha which is the largest of its kind in the world. This bronze statue is 42 meters long, 11 meters hight and weighs 300 thousand kilograms. Visitors can even enter the statue the way they do at the Statue of Liberty. This site attracts an average of 1.2 million visitors a year.
